Sandra Gordon is 1 of 3 founders of the all female organization called RISE. RISE is all about female development and specializes in empowerment and business workshops for BME women within the South West.
Sandra Gordon was one of the special guest speakers at the second official Queens Power Lunch and the story of her journey was interesting as well as inspiring. Sandra told the ladies in attendance that she had worked for someone else’s company for years, moving up the promotion ladder at every chance but was still looking for something more fulfilling. She met Lynn Mareno at an event and got talking about what they felt was missing in the South West for women of colour. They left the conversation there and after a twist of fate they bump into each other again. They decided that the time had come to act on their conversation giving birth to the amazing RISE movement.
RISE ‘Recognising Individual Successes & Efforts’ Providing a platform to showcase and recognise business & entrepreneurs from within the BME community.
RISE’s 3 founding members are Sandra, Lynn and Nia and over the past 2 years they have successfully put on a variety of events, from music shows to all female empowerment workshops.
