Here are 5 tips that can help you have a productive week.
Review What You Have Finished – Last week you should have had a list of tasks that you needed to complete. Review this list again to see what you have accomplished. If there are tasks that have not yet been completed take a moment to ask yourself why. If you have a task that has been on your to-do list for a few weeks make a decision to either complete the task or remove it from your list. Keeping unnecessary tasks on your list may have you feeling bogged down, you can lighten your load and still be productive.
Plan For The Coming Week – Review your up-coming appointments, business meetings and start planning your week ahead. Have you got any promotional interviews lined up, Will you be selling at a market, are there any networking events to attend, will you be ordering any stock? etc. Plan your week in advance and make the most of possible opportunities.
Organise Your To Do List Based On Priority – Having a list with many different kinds of tasks on it can be a little overwhelming. Try categorising your list and then put each task in a category based on high priority to low priority tasks. This will help you be more productive for longer periods of time and help you execute your tasks more efficiently.
Don’t Be A Perfectionist – What you should be aiming to do is be productive. Being a perfectionist can be a great quality to have. Especially when it comes to being an entrepreneur as you may have a good eye for detail but this can also cause you to spend too much time on one task. Focus on being productive and you will get more work done. When you do not have anyone to account to but yourself your search for perfection will be never ending.
Do What You Can Ahead Of Time – It is always a good idea to do what you can ahead of time. Mondays are often busy with new opportunities and challenges so anything you can do before time you should do it. You will be glad you did and it will free up some more time for you. Win Win.
